Migraine is treated with a tropyl benzoate derivative of the following general formula: ##STR1## wherein: R.sub.1 represents C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkoxy or halogen; R.sub.2 represents hydrogen, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkoxy or halogen; and R.sub.3 represents hydrogen, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkyl, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkoxy or halogen, provided that R.sub.3 is hydrogen when R.sub.2 is hydrogen, or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof. Additionally, some novel tropyl benzoate derivatives are disclosed.
Novel 5-amino or substituted amino 1,2,3-triazoles are disclosed as having anticoccidial activity. The compounds are useful for controlling coccidiosis when administered in minor quantities to animals, in particular to poultry, usually in admixture with animal sustenance.
The present invention relates to compounds that inhibit serine protease activity, particularly the activity of hepatitis C virus NS3-NS4A protease. As such, they act by interfering with the life cycle of the hepatitis C virus and are also useful as antiviral agents. The invention further relates to compositions comprising these compounds either for ex vivo use or for administration to a patient suffering from HCV infection. The invention also relates to methods of treating an HCV infection in a patient by administering a composition comprising a compound of this invention.
