1-Benzyl-2-(nitromethylene)pyrrolidines in triflic acid undergo intramolecular cyclization to afford the corresponding 2,3-dihydro-1H-pyrrolo[1,2-b]isoquinolinium triflates and/or 10-amino-2,3-dihydro-1H-pyrrolo[1,2-b]isoquinolinium triflates, depending on the nature of the aromatic substituent. Structures of products and reaction mechanisms are discussed.

The disclosure generally relates to compounds of formula I, including their salts, as well as compositions and methods of using the compounds. The compounds are ligands of the NR2B receptor and may be useful for the treatment of various disorders of the central nervous system.
The invention provides novel 2-methoxy-benzamide derivatives of the formula: ##STR1## WHEREIN, M IS AN INTEGER FROM 2 TO 5; A is a linear or branched alkylene chain of 1 to 4 carbon atoms; R.sub.2 is chlorine, SO.sub.2 R.sub.5 or SO.sub.2 NR.sub.6 R.sub.7 ; R.sub.3 is hydrogen or alkyl of 1 to 4 carbon atoms; R.sub.5 is alkyl of 1 to 4 carbon atoms; EACH OF R.sub.6 and R.sub.7 is independently hydrogen or alkyl of 1 to 4 carbon atoms in the form of racemates or optical isomers and their pharmaceutically acceptable acid addition salts which are useful in the treatment of psychosomatic and psychotic disturbances.
The present invention provides uses of a polypeptide having a ligand activity to a sensory epithelium neuropeptide-like receptor (SENR) which is a G protein-coupled receptor protein, and a DNA encoding the same. More specifically, the present invention provides an anti-attention-deficit-disorder or anti-narcolepsy agent, which comprises a polypeptide having a ligand activity for SENR or a salt thereof, as well as a method for screening compounds having an anti-attention-deficit-disorder or anti-narcolepsy activity or compounds having an anti-anxiety, anti-depression, anti-insomnia, anti-schizophrenia or anti-fear activity or salts thereof, which comprises using the above polypeptide or a precursor protein of the polypeptide or a salt thereof.

Die grundlegenden Kenntnisse über den Frankfurt Shift wurden erweitert durch Untersuchungen über den kinetischen Isotopieeffekt, ein Kontrollexperiment mit 18O2‐Atmosphäre und einen Shift‐Versuch mit 1‐(4‐Fluorbenzyl)‐piperidin‐N‐oxid (4). Außerdem konnte der Shift erstmalig auch im Ganztierversuch (Ratte) nachgewiesen werden.
