Monocarbonyl activation of 2,2‐disubstitutedmalonicacids with benzotriazole leads to decarboxylation of one of the carboxy groups and formation of a CH bond. We report a method for the synthesis of α-diazo-β-keto esters, phosphonates and sulfonesvia acylation of corresponding diazomethyl anions with N-acylbenzotriazoles. The N-o-amino-acylbenzotriazoles exhibited an unprecedented transphosphorylation reaction leading to diazoacetyl phenylphosphoramidates.
