The invention provides compounds and pharmaceutical compositions thereof, which are useful as protein kinase inhibitors, as well as methods for using such compounds to treat, ameliorate or prevent a condition associated with abnormal or deregulated kinase activity. In some embodiments, the invention provides methods for using such compounds to treat, ameliorate or prevent diseases or disorders that involve abnormal activation of PDGFR (PDGFRα, PDGFRβ) kinases or c-kit and PDGFR (PDGFRα, PDGFRβ) kinases.
A photocurable composition comprising (a) a radical-poly- merizabie monomer, (b) a -ketocarbonyl compound and (c) a derivative of mercaptobenzimidazole, mercaptobenzothiazole or mercaptobenzoxazole or an aromatic amine nucleus-substituted with an electron-attractive group has a high photocuring speed at near to normal temperature to give a cured product of excellent physical properties. This composition is valuable as a dental adhesive or resin.

Adhesives for ceramics obtained as first adhesives for ceramics according to the invention are excellent in bond properties as well as in water resistance because they contain first acidic compounds such as organic carboxylic acids in addition to silane coupling agents, polymerizable monomers and polymerization catalysts. Further, adhesives for ceramics obtained as second adhesives for ceramics according to the invention are excellent in bond properties as well as in dependability and water resistance because they contain metal salts in addition to silane coupling agents, polymerizable monomers and polymerization catalysts. Furthermore, adhesives for ceramics obtained as third adhesives for ceramics according to the invention are excellent in bond properties as well as dependability and water resistance because they contain second acidic compounds selected from among metal salts and organic carboxylic acid anhydrides in addition to silane coupling agents, polymerizable monomers and polymerization catalysts.

A terminally functionalized polymer is prepared by reacting a living polymer obtained by anionic polymerization of a diene monomer or mixture of a diene monomer and a vinyl aromatic hydrocarbon monomer with an aromatic nitrile compound. Especially useful aromatic nitriles are the unsubstituted and substituted benzonitriles. The resultant terminally functionalized polymers have reduced hysteresis in the carbon black reinforced and cured state and can be utilized to form elastomer compositions for tire treads having reduced rolling resistance.

Diene polymers or copolymers having improved raw polymer viscosity and reduced hysteresis in the cured and carbon black reinforced state are provided. These diene polymers or copolymers are prepared by a method which involves first terminating substantially all of the living diene polymer or copolymer chains obtained by anionic polymerization with a compound having multiple-bonded nitrogen atoms selected from the group consisting of aromatic nitriles and substituted imines having the formula
and then coupling a portion of the resultant terminated polymer chains with a polyfunctional reagent selected from the groups consisting of silicon polyhalides, polyisocyanates, phosphoryl halides and polycarboxylic acid halides.
