Reductive carbonylation of gem-dibromocyclopropanes was achieved by treatment with tetracarbonylnickel in the presence of alcohols, amines, thiols, or imidazole in DMF leading to the corresponding cyclopropanecarboxylic acid derivatives, respectively.
