Pd‐catalyzed desulfitative approach to C‐3 arylation of indolizine derivatives has been developed, and the protocol uses readily available arylsulfonylchlorides as the arylation reagent under nitrogen. This transformation was performed in a mixed solvent of 1‐methyl‐2‐pyrrolidone and dimethoxyethane using simple triphenylphosphine as a ligand, which provides a new method for the C‐3 arylation of indolizines

coverage of emission wavelengths in the visible region (405–616 nm) with large Stokes shifts in C3‐Indo‐Fluor may be straightforwardly and succinctly achieved by the palladium‐catalyzed direct CHarylation of indolizines at the C3 position of the pyrrole ring (see figure). The fluorophores have successfully marked A375 cells.

A novel copper-catalyzed highly selective oxidative coupling-annulation of 2-alkylazaarenes with terminal alkenes was achieved. This process provides a simple, efficient, and atom-economic way to construct indolizines in good yields.
