and copper tetrakis(acetonitrile) hexafluorophosphate (PF6–) shows the flexibility of the ligand by displaying different coordination modes associated with the electronic and structural characteristics of the corresponding anion. Accordingly, ligand 1 in these complexes displays two different binding modes. With Agtfa and AgBF4 compounds 3 and 4 are obtained where the ligand chelates to two silver
complex. The cyclic voltammograms of and showed two reversibleredox couples attributed to the reduction of the dianion (Fe(2)OCl(6))(2-) (-0.24 V for and -0.20 V for vs. SCE) and to the oxidation of the Fe(ii) ion of the complex (0.67 V for and 0.52 V for vs. SCE). The cyclic voltammogram of [FeCl(2)(NPN(Me2)-N,N)] showed a reversibleredox couple at -0.17 V vs. SCE assigned to the oxidation of the Fe(ii)
