    This invention relates to an organic compound having a conjugated aromatic core with fluorene moiety, substituted with one or more superior functional groups with excellent charge transport characteristics, and relates to a light-emitting diode and a light-emitting device using the same. The organic compound of the present invention can be introduced into a light-emitting diode using a solution process and has a very deep HOMO energy level. When the organic compound of the present invention is applied to a charge transport layer, the bandgap of the HOMO energy level between the charge transport layer and the light-emitting material layer can be reduced, allowing balanced injection of charges (holes and electrons) into the light-emitting material layer. As a result, it is possible to implement light-emitting diodes and light-emitting devices with improved luminous efficiency and low-voltage operation.

    The effect of N-heterocyclic carbene (NHC) ligands on the catalytic activity of in situ generated palladium complexes in the model cross-coupling reaction of K[C6F5BF3] with 4-FC6H4I was studied. Based on the obtained results, a series of pentafluorobiphenyls C6F5C6H4X were prepared from K[C6F5BF3] and XC6H4I or 4-CF3C6H4Br in high yields under aerobic conditions.
