    An insulating material comprising a cycloolefin polymer, specifically, an interlayer insulating material for a high-density assembly board having interlayer-connecting via holes at most 200 &mgr;m in diameter, comprising a cycloolefin polymer containing at least 50 mol % of a repeating unit derived from a cycloolefin monomer; a dry film formed from a curable resin composition comprising a polymer having a number average molecular weight within a range of 1,000 to 1,000,000 as measured by gel permeation chromatography, and a hardener; and a resin-attached metal foil obtained by forming a film of a cycloolefin polymer on one side of a metal foil. Laminates, multi-layer laminates and build-up multi-layer laminates making use of these materials, and production processes thereof.

[Solution] A material for fused-deposition-type three-dimensional modeling, obtained by blending 10-900 parts by weight of a styrene-based resin (B1) obtained by copolymerization of an aromatic vinyl-monomer (b1) and a cyanated vinyl-monomer (b2), and/or 5-400 parts by weight of a thermoplastic resin (B2) having a glass transition temperature of 20° C. or lower and/or 5-30 parts by weight of a plasticizer (B3), with respect to 100 parts by weight of a polylactic resin (A).

    A modified polyolefin composition comprising (A) 50 to 99 parts by weight of a modified polyolefin having an intrinsic viscosity [η] of 0.5 to 10 dl/g and a degree of crystallization of at least 20% selected from the group consisting of polyolefins modified with styrene-type hydrocarbons, polyolefins modified with unsaturated epoxy compounds, polyolefins modified with unsaturated silane compounds, halogenated polyolefins and hydroxyl group-containing polyolefins, and (B) 1 to 50 parts by weight of a thermoplastic polymer selected from the group consisting of (B-1) thermoplastic polymers having a flexural modulus of less than 100 kg/cm2, a glass transition temperature (Tg) of not higher than 0°C and a weight average molecular weight (Mw) of at least 400,000, and (B-2) polar non-olefinic thermoplastic polymers or ethylenic polymers having a flexural modulus of at least 1000 kg/cm2 and an adhesion strength, with respect to the modified polyolefin (A), of not more than 200 g/cm. The above composition is useful as an adhesive.

    A random copolymer is characterized in that (A) the copolymer comprises polymerized ethylene units and polymerized units of at least one cycloolefin, - (B) the mole ratio of the polymerized cycloolefin units to the polymerized ethylene units is from 3:97 to 60:40, (C) the cycloolefin is incorporated in the polymer chain without ring opening, (D) the copolymer has an intrinsic viscosity of 0.01 to 20 dl/g, (E) the copolymer has a molecular weight distribution ( Mw/ Mn) of not more than 4, and (F) the copolymer has a crystallinity of 0 to 10%. A monomer selected from (a) alpha, beta-unsaturated carboxylic acids and/or their derivatives, (b) styrenes, (c) organic silicon compounds having an olefinically unsaturated bond and a hydrolyzable group, or (d) unsaturated epoxy monomers may be grafted on to the random copolymer. The random copolymer is produced by continuously copolymerizing ethylene with at least one cycloolefin in a hydrocarbon medium in the presence of a catalyst formed from a soluble vanadium compound and an organoaluminum compound while maintaining the atom ratio of aluminum atoms to vanadium atoms in the reaction system, AI:V at 2 or more:1.
