7-alkyl-1-azido-3-chloro-4-cyano-5,6,7,8-tetrahydro-2,7-naphthyridines 6 were synthesized. Looking at their chemical properties we have ascertained that in these compounds the azide/tetrazole equilibrium is completely shifted towards the azido form (both in solid state and in solution).
