    The present invention relates to systems, compositions, and methods for the synthesis and use of imaging agents, or precursors thereof. An imaging agent precursor may be converted to an imaging agent using the methods described herein. In some cases, the imaging agent is enriched in 18 F. In some cases, an imaging agent may be used to image an area of interest in a subject, including, but not limited to, the heart, cardiovascular system, cardiac vessels, brain, and other organs. In some embodiments, methods and compositions for assessing perfusion and innervation mismatch in a portion of a subject are provided.

    A process for preparing a dinuclear manganese complex of formula (A) wherein:- Mn represents manganese in the III or IV oxidation state, each X is independently a co-ordinating or bridging species selected from H₂O, O₂⁻, O²⁻, OH⁻, SH⁻, S²⁻, 〉S=O, Cl⁻, N₃⁻, SCN⁻, N³⁻, RCOO⁻, NH₂⁻ and NR₃ where R is hydrogen, alkyl or aryl (optionally substituted); L is a ligand which is an organic molecule containing at least three nitrogen atoms which coordinate to a manganese centre; Z represents the charge of the complex and is an integer which may be positive or negative; Y is a monovalent or multivalent counter-ion leading to charge neutrality, which is dependent upon the charge Z of the complex; and q = z/[charge Y], the process comprising the steps of:- (i) reacting an Mn(II) salt with at least an equivalent amount of a compound comprising the ligand L to form said manganese complex characterised in that the reaction is carried out in a non-aqueous solvent; and (ii) optionally, oxidising the manganese complex formed in step (i) with an oxidising agent.

    The invention provides a coating varnish composition comprising (A) a polymer obtained by polymerizing (a) at least one unsaturated acid anhydride and (b) at least one other unsaturated monomer, and (B) at least one additive selected from triazole derivatives, benzothiazole derivatives, thiadiazole derivatives, polyethers and carboxylic acid anhydride derivatives and an antifouling coating composition comprising said coating varnish and an antifouling agent containing a coppercompound as major component. Using such compositions the risks of poisoning associated with organotin copolymers are avoided and there are obtained coatings of a coating consuming property and antifouling performance comparable with those of the organotin copolymers which do not gel even when mixed with a copper compound.
