An emulsion aggregation polyester toner including a polyester resin having modified end groups, wherein the polyester resin includes at least one carboxylic end group. A process of making the toner by oxidation of a polyester resin including reacting the polyester with a hypohalite and a phase transfer catalyst results in a polyester resin endcapped with at least one acidic group. Stable xerographic charging in all ambient environments for all colors, and excellent resistivity and cohesion of the toner, may be achieved.

A polymeric composition including a copolymer comprising a first monomer having a high carbon to oxygen ratio of from about 3 to about 8; a second monomer comprising two or more vinyl groups, wherein the second monomer is present in the copolymer in an amount of from greater than about 8 percent by weight to about 60 percent by weight, based on the weight of the copolymer; and, optionally, a third monomer comprising an amine, wherein the third monomer, if present, is present in an amount of from about 0.5 percent by weight to about 5 percent by weight, based on the weight of the copolymer. A toner including the copolymer as a toner surface additive. An emulsion aggregation toner process including the copolymer as a toner surface additive.
A laser probe with replaceable optic fibers may include a handle, an optic fiber fixture, and a replaceable optic fiber. The replaceable optic fiber may include an optic fiber having an optic fiber distal end and an optic fiber proximal end. The optic fiber may be disposed in a first transitory connector having a first transitory connector distal end and a first transitory connector proximal end wherein the optic fiber distal end extends a fixed distance from the transitory connector distal end. The optic fiber may be disposed in a second transitory connector having a second transitory connector distal end and a second transitory connector proximal end wherein the optic fiber proximal end extends a fixed distance from the second transitory connector distal end. The first transitory connector may be inserted in the handle and the second transitory connector may be inserted in the optic fiber fixture.

The present disclosure provides polymeric composition for use with toner particles. The polymeric composition of the present disclosure includes a silicone-polyether copolymer and a polymeric additive, wherein the silicone-polyether copolymer comprising a polysiloxane unit and a polyether unit, and the polymeric additive comprising a copolymer possessing at least one monomer having a high carbon to oxygen ratio, a monomer having more than one vinyl group, and at least one amine-functional monomer. The present disclosure also provides method of making thereof.
An illuminated cannula may include an illumination tube, a hub, a cannula base, a valve, an illumination source connector, an optic fiber, and an optic fiber guide. The valve may be disposed in the cannula base. The cannula base may be fixed to the hub. The hub may include a hub aperture. The illumination tube may be disposed in the cannula base. The optic fiber guide may be disposed in the hub. The optic fiber may be disposed in the illumination source connector, the hub, the optic fiber guide, and the cannula base. The optic fiber may be optically coupled to the illumination tube. Illumination light from an illumination source may be configured to transmit through the optic fiber and into the illumination tube.
