A series of novel metal complexes with the Schiff base ligands 4-((((1H-benzo[d]imidazol-2-yl)methyl)imino)methyl) benzene-1,3-diol, H3L1, and (((1H-benzo[d]imidazol-2-yl)methyl) thio)propanenitrile, HL2, have been synthesized and identified by elemental and spectral (UV-vis, IR, 1H NMR, mass) analyses, molar conductivities, as well as magnetic moment measurements technique.
