  This paper reports precise conductance values for dilute (< 4 × 10–3 mol dm–3) aqueous solutions of twenty-three 2:2 salts at 25 °C. Alkaline earth metal sulphates, thiosulphates, dithionates, tetrathionates, ethyl-, n-propyl-, n-butyl-disulphonates and acetylenedicarboxylates were studied. The results are analysed by means of the Lee–Wheaton conductance equation in terms of the limiting molar conductivity
