    There is provided a curable composition for imprinting containing a polymerizable compound, in which (a) the concentration of a polymerizable group in the polymerizable compound is in the range of 4.3 mmol/g to 7.5 mmol/g, (b) a polymerizable compound X whose Ohnishi parameter is 3.5 or less and ring parameter is 0.35 or greater is contained in the range of 40% by mass to 95% by mass with respect to all the polymerizable compounds, (c) a polymerizable compound C having three or more polymerizable groups is further contained in the range of 5% by mass to 20% by mass with respect to all the polymerizable compounds, and (d) the viscosity of the composition being at 25° C. and in a state of not containing a solvent is in the range of 3 mPa·s to 8,000 mPa·s.

    Disclosed is an organic-inorganic hybrid composition. The organic-inorganic hybrid composition includes a curable resin and inorganic particles dispersed in the curable resin. The inorganic particle has a core-shell structure composed of a core containing titanium and barium, and a shell containing at least one selected from zirconium, aluminum and chromium. According to this organic-inorganic hybrid composition, a liquid-phase refractive index of the composition can be improved, and as a result, luminance and light transmittance can be improved in an optical member using the same.

    Disclosed is a brightness enhancing film composition comprising a multifunctional (meth)acrylate, a substituted or unsubstituted naphthyl (meth)acrylate monomer, an arylether (meth)acrylate and an optional polymerization initiator. The composition was found to efficiently cure under typical conditions employed for the rapid, continuous production of cured, coated films. Such cured compositions exhibit excellent relative degree of cure under a variety of processing conditions. Disclosed also are articles comprising the brightness enhancing film composition comprising a multifunctional (meth)acrylate, a substituted or unsubstituted naphthyl (meth)acrylate monomer, an arylether (meth)acrylate and an optional polymerization initiator. The article may be a multilayer article comprising a substrate.

    The present invention provides a polymerizable composition, comprising, based on the total weight of the polymerizable composition: (a) 1-90 wt % of a monomer of a formula (I): wherein X 1 is H or methyl; X 2 is H or C 1 -C 2 alkyl; X is O or S; R 1 is C 1 -C 12 straight or branched alkylene or alkoxylene; and d and n are each independently an integer of 0 to 3; and (b) 0.1-10 wt % of a photo-initiator. The present invention also provides an optical film comprising a coating formed from the above polymerizable composition. The optical film can be used in backlight units for displays as a brightness enhancement film.
