The mass spectrometric investigation of some new sulfur and selen compounds containing ortho-nitrophenyl groups yields examples of novel unknown O- and OH-migrations to various acceptors. The transfer reactions to selen acceptors are the first described in literature. The electron-impact fragmentations of isosteric sulfur and selen compounds lead only to analogous ions in few cases.
