Several investigated compounds displayed strong antiproliferativeactivity against K562 leukemia cells and proved to be strong inhibitors of tubulinpolymerization. In this context, anthracenone-based oxime ethers and -esters are considered to contribute to the development of novelantiproliferative drugs, based on tubulin interaction.
