Abstract2-Fluorosulfonyloxytetrafluoropropionyl fluoride (3) is the product of isomerization of fluorosulfonyloxypentafluoroacetone (1). In the presence of CsF at low temperatures compound 3 forms 2-fluorosulfonyloxyperfluoropropoxy anion, and at ∼25°C CsF catalyzes the decomposition of compounds 1 and 3 with the formation of trifluoropyruvoyl fluoride isolated as cyclodimer.
