    RHF/6-31G(d) and MP2/6-31G(d) quantum-chemical calculations of N', N'-dimethylethanohydrazide molecule and also MP2/6-31G(d) calculations of its protonated forms were performed. With the use of IR and H-1 NMR spectroscopy the series of N',N'-dialkylhydrazides and their salts with HCl and H2SO4 were studied. The position of proton addition was determined. The experimental results were compared with the calculated findings.

    Extraction of vanadium(V) with solutions of 2-ethylhexanoic acid N',N'-dialkylhydrazides in kerosene from acidic media was studied. The optimal extraction conditions were determined depending on the concentrations of H2SO2, HCl, and the extraction agent; the composition of the recovered complexes was proposed. The conditions for back-extraction of vanadium(V) from the organic phase were studied. It was found that benzoic acid N',N'-diheptylhydrazide did not recover vanadium(V) from acidic media.

    Recovery of tungsten(VI) with solutions of N',N'-dialkylhydrazides of 2-ethylhexanoic and octanoic acids in kerosene from sulfuric acid and hydrochloric media was studied. The optimal recovery conditions were determined in relation to the concentrations of the acids and the reagent. Reagents for separation of tungsten(VI) and molybdenum(VI) simultaneously present in sulfuric acid solutions were suggested.
