New Tetrazole Tripodal Ligand Based on Triphenylphosphine Oxide

A new tetrazole tripodal ligand, tris[2-(tetrazol-5-ylmethoxy)phenyl]phosphine oxide, has been obtained. Its structure in crystal and solutions has been elucidated by X-ray diffraction analysis as well as IR, Raman, and multinuclear (H-1, C-13, P-31) NMR spectroscopy. Coordination properties of the polydentate ligand have been studied as exemplified by the complexation with lanthanum(III).
