High chemoselectivity is illustrated by the TiCl4‐Mg‐promoted selectivecoupling of CH2Br2 or CH2Cl2 with an aldehyde in the presence of ketone and selective transfer of CH2Br or CH2Cl to saturated carbonyl moiety. This protocol is also suitable for sterically hindered and enolizable carbonyl compounds.
Synthesis of piperazine derivatives and evaluation of their antihistamine and antibradykinin effects

Piperazine derivatives were prepared as histamineantagonists. Some of the synthesized compounds showed dual antagonistic activity against bradykinin as well as histamine.
