groups from the intermediates by means of either sodium in liquid ammonia or anhydrous hydrogen fluoride, the dithiols thus obtained were oxidized to the required analogs. It was found that [9-leucine]-oxytocin possessed approximately 8% oxytocic potency, and oxytocinoyl-glycinamide 0.5% potency compared with oxytocin preparation.
