  [EN] The invention relates to agents for colouring keratin fibres, in particular human hair, said agents containing at least one m-phenylenediamine derivative of formula (I) in a cosmetically acceptable medium as the coupler component. In said formula, R¹ represents a C₁-C₂ alkyl group or a C₁-C₂ monohydroxyalkyl group, R², R³ and R⁴ represent independently of one another a hydrogen atom, a methyl or ethyl group and R⁵ and R⁶ represent independently of one another a branched or unbranched C₂-C₃ hydroxyalkyl group. The inventive coupler components permit a coloration that produces intense colours and good to excellent fastness characteristics in the red and violet colour spectra, in particular by means of p-toluylenediamine, 4-aminophenol, 4-amino-3-methylphenol, 4,5-diamino-1-(2-hydroxyethyl)pyrazole, 1-(2-hydroxyethyl)-2,5-diaminobenzole, 2,4,5,6-tetraaminopyrimidine and bis-(2-hydroxy-5-aminophenyl)methane.
