Gold(I) chloride complexes with the diarsenic ligands cis-1,4-dihydro-1,4-diarsinines (cis-DHDAs) were synthesized. X-ray diffraction revealed that they formed one-dimensional polymeric structures through aurophilicinteractions. Their higher-ordered structures are controlled by the ligand structure; methyl- and t-butyl substituted ligands offered transoid–transoid and transoid–cisoid conformations
Bimetallic and monometallic palladium(II) complexes with 1,4-dihydro-1,4-dimethyl-2,3,5,6-tetrakis(methoxycarbonyl)-1,4-diarsinine (1) were selectively obtained by stoichiometric addition of PdCl2(PhCN)(2) to 1 as [Pd2Cl4(1)(2)] (2) (yield 83%) and [PdCl2(1)(2)] (3) (yield 99%), respectively. The structures of [Pd2Cl4(1)(2)] (2) and [PdCl2(1)(2)] (3) were confirmed by H-1 NMR spectra, X-ray crystallography, and elemental analysis.
