A palladium-catalyzedsynthesis of acyl pyrroles from aryl and alkenyl iodides is reported. This carbonylative amination requires only atmospheric (balloon) pressure of carbon monoxide and proceeds with Pd(PPh3)4 and Pd-NHC catalysts.
