Tri(pyridylmethyl)phosphine (TPPh), the remarkably elusive congener of tri(pyridylmethyl)amine (TPA), has been prepared, as well as the relative tri(N-methyl-pyridylamino)phosphine (TPAMP). The coordination properties of these new ligands have been evaluated for chromium(III), iron(II), and ruthenium(II) complexes and compared with the related TPA complexes. In all cases, a different coordination behavior
Alkynedehydrogenativeborylation and hydroboration: A catalytic amount of a dicationic Zn2+ complex, [TPPh ⋅ Zn]2+, selectively catalyzed the dehydrogenativeborylation of terminalalkynes with HBPin at room temperature while lower [TPPh ⋅ Zn]2+ loading sborylation step.

Two complexes containing rare trigonalplanar clusters Ag@Ag3, [Ag@Ag3(Pic3P)2(MeCN)3](BF4)4 and [Ag@Ag3(Pic3P)2(NO3)4], have been synthesized by the treatment of tris[(pyridine-2-yl)methyl]phosphine (Pic3P) with AgBF4 and AgNO3, respectively. At ambient temperature, solid complex [Ag@Ag3(Pic3P)2(MeCN)3](BF4)4 displays pronounced excitation-dependent luminescence expressed by two emission bands with
A gas delivery device includes a nitric oxide generating system. The system has a medium including a source of nitrite ions. A working electrode is in contact with the medium. A Cu(II)-ligand complex is in contact with the working electrode. A reference/counter electrode is, or a reference electrode and a counter electrode are in contact with the medium and separated from the working electrode. An inlet conduit is to deliver nitrogen gas to the medium, and an outlet conduit is to transport a stream of nitrogen gas and nitric oxide from the medium. An inspiratory gas conduit is operatively connected to the outlet conduit to introduce an oxygen-containing gas and form an output gas stream of the gas delivery device.
An example of a nitric oxide delivery device includes a medium, a working electrode in contact with the medium, and a reference/counter electrode in contact with the medium and electrically isolated from the working electrode. The medium includes a source of nitrite ions and a Cu(II)-ligand complex. A nitric oxide permeable material separates the medium from an external environment that is to contain blood.
