Reported herein is the use of S‐perfluoroalkyl sulfilimino iminiums as a new source of RF radicals under visible‐light photoredox catalysis (RF=CF3, C4F9, CF2Br, CFCl2). These shelf‐stable perfluoroalkyl reagents, readily prepared on gram scale from the corresponding sulfoxide using a one‐pot procedure, allow the efficient photoredox‐induced oxyperfluoroalkylation of various alkenes using fac‐Ir(ppy)3

An efficient and direct monofluoromethylation of O-, S-, N-, and P-nucleophiles with PhSO(NTs)CH2F 1 has been developed. In contrast to the previously known detrimental effect of α-fluorine substitution on SN2 reactions, the current monofluoromethylation is accelerated by the α-fluorine substitution. Based on a mechanistic study, a new reactivity of sulfoximine (as a radical monofluoromethylation reagent) is disclosed.

perfluoroalkyl selenoxides, selenones and selenoximines was possible through a selective oxidation of perfluoroalkyl selenoethers. Synthesis of perfluoroalkyl selenoxides was also described via a two-step one-pot reaction from selenocyanates. The perfluoroalkyl selenoximine family was synthesized. The Hansch-Leo parameters of the compounds were determined and some aryl perfluoroalkyl selenoxides were separated
