Verfahren zur Herstellung einer selbsttragenden Folie bei dem man ein Gemisch eines thermoplastischen Polyurethanes und 0,5 bis 35 Gew.-%, bezogen auf die Gesamtmenge von thermoplastischem Polyurethan, des Prozesshilfsmittels in einen Extruder eindosiert, das Gemisch aufschmilzt und über eine Folienblaskopf zu einer Folie extrudiert.
