  The 1H NMR spectra of some anisyl- and phenetyl-tellurium derivatives confirm that para-substitution of methoxybenzene (anisole) and ethoxybenzene (phenetole) occurs on reaction with tellurium tetrachloride. Some new aryltellurium(IV) halides are reported.
