  (EN) Polyhaloalkene compounds of formula (I), wherein X is sulfur, oxygen, nitrogen or methylene, Y1 and Y2 independently are fluorine, chlorine or bromine, Z is hydrogen or the same as Y1 or Y2, and n is 1-4; provided that: (A) when X is sulfur, R is thiazolyl substituted thienyl, optionally substituted thianaphthyl, optionally substituted thiazolinyl, optionally substituted thiadiazolyl, optionally substituted oxadiazolyl or 3,4,4- trifluoro-3-butenyloxycarbonyl-methyl; (B) when X is oxygen, R is C(O)R1 wherein R1 is perfluoroalkyl, optionally substituted phenyl, optionally substituted thienyl, optionally substituted furanyl, optionally substituted pyrrolyl or dihydrothiazolylthiomethyl; (C) when X is nitrogen, R taken with the nitrogen is an isothiocyanate, succinimide or saccharine group; and (D) when X is methylene, R is hydroxy.
