  Alkenes have been converted into the corresponding bromofluorides by reaction with 1,3-dibromo-5,5-dimethylhydantoin (DBH) and silicon tetrafluoride in 1,4-dioxane in a highly regio-, stereo-, and chemo-selective manner.
