Novel Rh(III) pentamethylcyclopentadienyl and Rh(I) complexes containing chelating N-heterocycliccarbenes have been prepared and used in the hydrosilylation of 1-alkynes. Selected catalysts were immobilized within the mesopores of SBA-15.
