    An alcoholic beverage designed to enhance liver function or prevent liver damage or disease in a human being or to enhance weight loss in a human being, said beverage comprising a beer, wine, or liquor base; said alcoholic beverage is characterized by a composition for enhancing liver function or preventing liver damage or disease in a human being or for enhancing weight loss in a human being, said composition comprising an ingredient selected from the group consisting of one or more gluconeogenic substrates, aspartate, aspartic acid, lipoic acid, alpha-lipoic acid, huperzine, medium chain triglycerides, pyruvate, L-aspartic acid, carnitine, acetyl-L-carnitine, L-carnitine, chromium, conjugated linoleix acid, chromium polynicotinate, garcinia cambogia, biotin, hydroxycitric acid (HCA), pyruvate, serine, glycine, phosphatidyl choline, lactate, glycerol, a gluconeogenic amino acid or an alphaketo analogue thereof, conjugated linoleic acid (CLA), eicosapentanoic acid (EPA), coenzyme Q10, magnesium, pyridoxine, gymnemic acid, gymnema sylvestre, mahuang or a derivative thereof; and guarana seed or a derivative thereof; said ingredient present in an amount in excess of the amount of said ingredient naturally present in said beer, wine, or liquor base.

    A nutritional composition for adding to food for enhancing and extending the satiety of the food by stimulating CCK levels in a calorically efficient manner and for reducing weight. The nutritional composition includes long chain fatty acids (C 12 to C 18 ) being in the range of 1.0 to 6.0 grams by weight of the composition; a calcium (C 23 ) source being in the range of 1.0 to 4.0 grams by weight of the composition; potato fiber being in the range of 1.0 to 6.0 grams by weight of the composition; whey protein enriched with glycomacropeptide being in the range of 1.0 to 5.0 grams by weight of the composition; glucomannan fiber being in the range of 0.5 to 4.0 grams by weight of the composition; guar fiber being in the range of 1.0 to 4.0 grams by weight of the composition; alfalfa being in the range of 0.05 to 3.0 grams by weight of the composition; and wherein the food is selected from the group consisting of carbohydrates, proteins, and fat. A method for extending and enhancing the satiety of food by adding a nutritional composition to the food to stimulate CCK levels in a calorically efficient manner and for reducing weight, wherein the nutritional composition includes long chain fatty acids (C 12 to C 18 ) being in the range of 1.0 to 6.0 grams by weight of the composition; a calcium (C 23 ) source being in the range of 1.0 to 4.0 grams by weight of the composition; potato fiber being in the range of 1.0 to 6.0 grams by weight of the composition; whey protein enriched with glycomacropeptide being in the range of 1.0 to 5.0 grams by weight of the composition; glucomannan fiber being in the range of 0.5 to 4.0 grams by weight of the composition; guar fiber being in the range of 1.0 to 4.0 grams by weight of the composition; and alfalfa being in the range of 0.05 to 3.0 grams by weight of the composition; comprising the step of adding the nutritional composition to a food to stimulate CCK levels.
