Gold-catalyzed cascade cyclization of diynes for the synthesis of previously unexplored C–Naxially chiral N-arylbenzo[g]indoles was described. The transformation was achieved via a central-to-axial chirality conversion strategy. The chiral conversion exhibited high efficiency.
