Efficient protocols for the addition of carbon-, sulphur- and nitrogen-nucleophiles to α,β-unsaturated carbonylcompounds catalyzed by PS-BEMP have been reported. The adoption of solvent-free conditions (SolFC) was crucial for improving the efficiency of all the processes, while by using an organic reaction medium poor results were obtained. Addition reactions were performed by using equimolar amounts
Mild and Efficient Procedure for Michael Addition of N-Heterocycles to <font>α</font>,<font>β</font>-Unsaturated Compounds Using Anhydrous K3PO4 as Catalyst
Imidazole, 1,2,4-triazole, indole, and benzotriazole undergo conjugate additions with , -unsaturated carbonyl compounds in the presence of anhydrous potassium phosphate at ambient temperature to afford the corresponding Michael adducts in excellent yields.

We present a sodium trifluoroacetate (CF3CO2Na) mediated copper-catalyzed aza-Michaeladdition of aromaticamines with activated olefins under mild, aqueous reaction conditions. This simplistic protocol employs a copper catalyst (10 mol%) and water as solvent. This transformation occurs precisely with aromatic substituted amines containing both electron-donating (EDG) and electron-withdrawing (EWG) groups
