  (EN) Disclosed are novel ethylidene derivatives of tricyclic carbapenems of formula (I), wherein the ring marked C and X have the meaning as in the description, in the form of pure diastereoisomers and in the form of pure geometric isomers. Novel ethylidene derivatives of tricyclic carbapenems of formula (I) are used as inhibitors of the action of the enzyme $g(b)-lactamase and/or as antibiotics in human and veterinary medicine. Also disclosed are pharmaceutical formulations for the treatment of bacterial infections of human and animal organisms comprising as an active ingredient a therapeutically effective amount of an ethylidene derivative of tricyclic carbapenems of formula (I) in the form of an acid, a pharmaceutically acceptable salt or ester thereof and optionally in a combination with a $g(b)-lactam antibiotic, and usual pharmaceutically acceptable carriers and auxiliary substances. Also disclosed is a process for the preparation of novel ethylidene derivatives of tricyclic carbapenems of formula (I).(FR) L'invention concerne de nouveaux dérivés d'éthylidène de carbapenems tricycliques représentés par la formule (I) dans laquelle l'anneau marqué C et X possède la signification énoncée dans le descriptif, sous forme de diastéréoisomères purs et sous forme d'isomères géométriques purs. On utilise de nouveaux dérivés d'éthylidène de carbapenems tricycliques représentés par la formule (I), soit en tant qu'inhibiteurs de l'action de l'enzyme $g(b)-lactamase, soit en tant qu'antibiotiques pour l'homme ou pour l'animal. Elle concerne également des formulations pharmaceutiques servant à traiter des infections bactériennes d'organismes humains et animaux et contenant en tant qu'ingrédient actif une quantité efficace sur le plan thérapeutique d'un dérivé d'éthylidène de carbapenems tricycliques de formule (I) sous forme d'un acide, d'un de ses sels ou esters acceptable sur le plan pharmaceutique et éventuellement combiné à un antibiotique de $g(b)-lactame, ainsi que des véhicules et des substances adjuvantes acceptables sur le plan pharmaceutique. Elle concerne, de plus, un procédé servant à préparer de nouveaux dérivés d'éthylidène de carbapenems tricyliques représentés par la formule (I).
