    The present invention relates to a supported catalyst containing titanium, its preparation and it use in the homo-, co-, and ter-polymerization of olefin-unsaturated compounds. The present invention also relates to a catalytic system comprising a supported catalyst based on titanium and a co-catalyst selected from organo-derivatives of aluminum. More, specifically, the present invention relates to catalyst supported on silica, obtained by reacting a titanium halocarboxylate and a magnesium halocarboxylate with an aluminum chloroakylderivative, in the presente of a carrier consisting of high porosity silica. The above reaction essentially takes place in the pores of the silica itself.

    Titanium complex having general formula (1) (RCOO) n TiX p wherein R is a monofunctional hydrocarbyl radical having from 1 to 20 carbon atoms and a number of halogen atoms, selected from fluorine, chlorine and bromine, preferably chlorine, ranging from 1 to 6; X is chlorine, bromine or a beta-dicarbonyl group such as acetylacetone (AcAc), formylacetone, benzoylacetone, dibenzoylmethane; p+n=2, 3, 4, preferably p+n=3; n is greater than or equal to 1. The preparation of the above complex and its use in the co- and ter-polymerization of &agr;-olefins, are also described.

    A process and the resultant product from the process for continuously making a blend of a terpolymer and a tetrapolymer utilizing ethylene, propylene, and non-conjugated dienes. This process allows for the creation of products with high diene contents and broad molecular weight distributions while utilizing a continuous flow reactor and a known catalyst. The process allows for these products to be made without gelling or fouling of the reactor, which are problems known in the art.
