New tungsten carbyne complexes ((BuO)-O-t)(3) Wequivalent toC-SiPh3, [((BuO)-O-t)(3) Wequivalent toC](2)SiPh2, [((BuO)-O-t)(3) Wequivalent toC](2)GePh2, and [((BuO)-O-t)(3) Wequivalent toC](2)SnPh2 were prepared bythe react ions of ((BuO)-O-t)(6)W-2 with Ph(3)SiCequivalent toC-Pr or Ph2E(Cequivalent toC-Pr)(2) (E = Si, Ge, Sn) in individual crystalline form in 48-80% yields. The structures of both the ((BuO)-O-t)(3) Wequivalent toC-GePh3 and ((BuO)-O-t)(3) Wequivalent toC-SnPh3 compounds synthesized earlier and the new complexes were established by X-ray diffraction analysis.
