A new macrocyclic ligand and the binuclear palladium(II) complex of the ligand have been prepared and characterized. The two 2,6-bis(diaminomethyl)-phenyl units coordinate to the Pd(II) centers with N,C,N donor atoms. Two conformational isomers of the complex were isolated and characterized by X-ray and NMR.
