,3':1' ,2' imidazo[4',5',:4,5] imidazo-[1,2-]pyridazine (2a) and the unsubstituted “parent” 2b have been synthesized. The chloro groups of 2a Were found to be easily displaced by a variety of nucleophiles to provide the 2,9-disubstituted compounds 7–12.
