All the selenium, sulfur, and tellurium compounds were evaluated as chiral ligands in the palladium-catalyzed asymmetric allylic alkylation. The corresponding alkylated products were obtained in excellent enantiomeric excess, using BSA/CH2Cl2 as the base/solvent system.
