5,10,15,20-Tetrakis(3,5-dibromophenyl)porphyrin and 5,10,15,20-tetrakis(3-bromo-4-methoxy-phenyl)porphyrin have been synthesized, and their complexing properties with respect to Pd2+ ion in acetonitrile at 308-328 K have been studied by spectrophotometry. The synthesized compounds were characterized by UV-Vis, H-1 NMR, and mass spectra. The effect of substituents in the meso-phenyl rings of the ligands on their spectral and coordination properties was estimated in comparison to 5,10,15,20-tetraphenylporphyrin.
