phosphite‐based catalysts for use in the CNcross‐couplingreaction. The combination of nickel tetrakis(triphenyl phosphite) Ni[P(OPh)3]4} and 1,1′‐bis(diphenylphosphino)ferrocene (dppf), and in particular a newly developed catalyst (dppf)Ni[P(OPh)3]2, were found to be extremely effective in catalyzing a range of amination reactions of anilines and amines with aryl chlorides. This new catalyst system offers

on Buchwald–Hartwig aminations. Using 1 mol% N‐heterocyclic carbene adduct of cyclopalladated ferrocenylimine in the presence of 1.5 equiv. tBuOK as base in dioxane at 110°C offered moderate to excellent yields in the reaction of chloropyridines with primary and secondaryamines, including sterically hindered amines and alkyl amines.

The present disclosure provides a new series of compounds exhibiting high fluorescence quantum yields in the solid state. In one embodiment, the compounds include a series of 2,3,4,5-tetraphenylgermoles with the same or different 1,1-substituents. In another embodiment, substituted germafluorenes, germa-fluoresceins/rhodamines, and germapins are described. These germanium heterocycles possess ideal photophysical and thermostability properties, which makes them excellent candidates for chemical or biological sensors, host materials for electroluminescent devices and solar cells, and emissive and for electron-transport layer components in organic light emitting diode devices,
The present invention relates to fluorescent diketopyrrolopyrroles of the formula (I), or (III), a process for their preparation and their use for the preparation of inks, colorants, pigmented plastics for coatings, non-impact-printing material, color filters, cosmetics, polymeric ink particles, toners, as fluorescent tracers, in color changing media, in solid dye lasers, EL lasers and electroluminescent devices. A luminescent device comprising a compound, or composition according to the present invention is high in the efficiency of electrical energy utilisation and high in luminance.
