Synthesis and Crystal Structures of Co(maa)2(H2O)2 and Cu(maa)2(H2O)2, where maaH is 2‐Methoxyacetatic Acid
摘要:
The reactions Of CuCl2 center dot 2H(2)O, CoCl2 center dot 6H(2)O and 2-methoxyacetatic acid (maaH) result in two organic-inorganic hybrid compounds. The metal atoms in both compounds are in six-coordination with a distorted octahedral geometry, and only a rather small Jahn-Teller distortion. All the hydrogen atoms from the carboxylates and the water molecules contribute to the formation of the hydrogen bonds, which link the complexes into a 3D structure. Crystal data for Co(maa)(2)(H2O)(2) (1): monoclinic, P2(1)/n, a = 6.985(1), b = 10.102(2), c = 7.132(1) angstrom, alpha = 90.00, beta = 97.15(1), gamma = 90.00 degrees, V = 499.34(14) angstrom(3), Z = 2; Cu(maa)(2) (H2O)(2) (;): monoclinic, P2(1)/n, a = 6.955(1), b = 10.123(2), c = 7.226(1) angstrom, alpha = 90.00, beta = 96.57(1), gamma = 90.00 degrees, V = 505.41(14) angstrom(3), Z = 2.
