    Microwave-assisted synthesis of ternary lanthanide(2-thenoyltrifluoroacetone) 3 (triphenylphosphine oxide) 2 complexes
    摘要:
    We report here the fast synthesis by microwave assisted technique of four ternary Ln(TTA)(3)(TPPO)(2) complexes, where Ln = La(III), Eu(III), Tb(III) and Tm(III), TTA = 2-thenoyltrifluoroacetone, and TPPO = triphenylphosphine oxide, which are of interest in luminescence applications. Using this method, the reaction time was decreased to one minute with minimal purification step and the yields are comparable Kto literature values. The target complexes were characterized using H-1,C-13, F-19, P-31 NMR and FTIR spectroscopy, MALDI-TOF mass spectrometry and single -crystal X-ray diffraction. Further, we discuss here a hitherto unreported extensive network of hydrogen bonding interactions present in these complexes. (C) 2017 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.

    HTTA (thenoyltrifluoroacetone) and TPPO (trioctylphosphine oxide) complexes with different molar ratios of Eu3+ to Y3+ has been synthesized.     Samarium(III) and europium(III) complexes of the β-diketone ligand (2-thienyl)trifluoroacetylacetone (HTTA) and triphenylphosphine oxide (TPPO) were prepared.     Three kinds of rare earth ternary complexes of Eu3+ with HTTA and M (M = 5-NO(2)Phen,2,2'-Dipy and TPPO) have been synthesized and characterized using various spectral techniques such as elemental analysis, TGA-DTA, IR, UV and fluorescent. Results show that the complexes of Eu(III) emit strong red luminescence when excited by UV light. The complex Eu(TTA)(3)5NO(2)Phen posses the highest sensitized luminescent efficiency and the longest lifetime in the studied complexes. TG curves indicate that Eu(TTA)(3)5NO(2)Phen is most stable. In device ITO/PVK/Eu(TTA)(3)5NO(2)Phen/Al, Eu3+ may be excited by intramolecular energy transfer from ligands as observed by electroluminescence. The main emitting peak at 614 nm can be attributed to the transition of D-5(0) -> E-7(2) of Eu3+ ion, and this process results in the enhancement of red emission from electroluminescence device.   • Characterization of ternary coordination complex of europium with thenoyltrifluoroacetone and triphenylphosphine oxide in situ synthesized in ORMOSIL

    By using the in situ synthesis technique, the complex of europium with thenoyltrifluoroacetone. (TTA) and triphenylphosphine oxide (TPPO) was confirmed to synthesize in the transparent monolithic ORMOSIL during heat treatment by IR and photoluminescence spectra. The ORMOSIL doped with the EuTFA-TPPO in situ complex appears to have rather high luminescence intensity and relative intensity ratio of D-5(0)--> F-7(2)/D-5(0)--> F-7(1), i.e., better monochromaticity. The emission intensity of the Eu3+ ions in the ORMOSIL heated at 100 degreesC for 24 h increases by a factor of about 1400 compared to that in the no heat treatment sample. Laser excited high-resolution spectra indicate that the molecular structure of the Eu-TTA-TPPO in situ complex is similar to that of the Eu(TTA)(3)(TPPO)(2) complex. The effective site symmetry of the Eu3+ ion in the Eu-TTA-TPPO in situ complex as well as in the Eu(TTA)(3)(TPPO)(2) complex may be C-1 or C-2 or C-S. It is reasonable to suggest that the Bu-TTA-TPPO in situ complex may be Eu(TTA)(3)(TPPO)(2). (C) 2001 Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
