  affords respectively the octahedral organometallic complexes [PtMe3HB(mt)3}] and [PtMe3H2B(mt)2}], the first isolated examples of poly(methimazolyl)borate complexes of platinum, which prove remarkably stable toward the reductive elimination of methane. The latter reacts further with [PtMe3I]4 to afford the novel, sulfur-bridged dinuclear complex [Me3Ptμ-H2B(mt)2}PtMe3I].
