    To provide an extinguishant composition that can be used as an extinguishant in the event of a fire, and an aerosol-generating automatic fire-extinguishing device in which the extiguishant is used. An extinguishant composition and an aerosol-generating automatic fire extinguishing device containing the extinguishant composition, said composition being characterized in containing 20-50 % by mass of a fuel and 80-50 % by mass of a chlorate, and further containing 6-1000 parts by mass of a potassium salt in relation to a total of 100 parts by mass of the fuel and the chlorate, the extinguishant composition having a thermal decomposition starting temperature in the range of over 90°C to 260°C.

    An aqueous adjuvant concentrate can be prepared using a formulation including: a. from about 15 to about 45% by weight of a potassium salt chosen among di-potassium phosphate, potassium sulfate, potassium nitrate, tri-potassium citrate, potassium salts of ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid and mixture thereof; b. from about 0.5 to about 6% by weight of at least one surfactant and c. from about 3 to about 9% by weight of a hydroxypropyl tamarind gum wherein a, b, and c are dissolved into the aqueous adjuvant. The aqueous adjuvant can include other compounds such as ah herbicide.

The chelating agent can be added directly to the raw clay seeds and/or dry mixed with bentonite prior to coating the seeds with the bentonite. Preferably, preheating and agglomeration steps are eliminated to thereby significantly reduce energy and water consumption.

    A method for suppressing the formation of ammonia comprising providing a carrier material to a container having a headspace; providing a bacteria, an acidifier and an odor inhibitor to the carrier material, the bacteria comprising Staphylococcus - xylosus or Staphylococcus - cohnii bacteria, and the odor inhibitor comprising a salt of an aminopolycarboxylic acid compound; and applying animal waste to the carrier material; wherein there is a 5 to 98 percent improvement of ammonia content in the headspace as compared to an untreated control comprising a container containing the carrier material and the bacteria and not contain the odor inhibitor.
