  摘要：

  Treatment Of (py)2OsO2(O2C2H4) 1 with the Grignard reagent (CH3)2CHCH2MgCl gives the d2-osmium(VI) complex tetrakis(2-methylpropyl)oxoosmium (3) in 28% isolated yield. The square-pyramidal geometry of 3 of unusual C4 molecular symmetry has been determined by single crystal X-ray diffraction methods (tetragonal space group I4; a = 1262.21(7), c = 591.99(5); R = 0.017, R(w) = 0.018). In spite of the presence of beta-hydrogen atoms, no decomposition is observed up to 100-degrees-C at least.
