The new complexes OsO2py2L (L = oxalate, lactate, atrolactate, citrate, quinate), OsO2pic2L (L = oxalate, oxoisobutyrate; pic = 3-methylpyridine), (OsO2py2)2 (tartrate), K2[OsO2L2] (L = glycolate, quinate) and K4[(OsO2)2(tartrate)3] are reported. On the basis of IR, Raman and C-13 NMR studies we believe them to contain trans OsO2 osmyl linkages. X-ray photoelectronic and mass spectral data are also reported for some of them.
