Treatment of tetrakis(substituted phosphine)-palladium (in brief PdL4) with C2F3X gave a complex containing (i) 3-membered metalocyclic ring, (ii) perfluorovinyl group or (iii) only X groups depending on the nature of the substituted phosphine.
